TROY, Mich., April 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Syntel, Inc. (Nasdaq:SYNT), a leading global provider of integrated information technology and knowledge process services, today announced that it has signed a strategic partnership with Esko, a leading provider of prepress software and hardware for labeling and packaging.
Headquartered in Belgium, Esko is a leading graphic arts and digital asset management company that produces prepress software and hardware products that manage labeling, packaging design and print processes.
The partnership will allow Syntel access to Esko's software products, training and support, and the two companies will collaborate on implementations across the U.S. and Europe. Syntel will also integrate Esko products into its existing suite of labeling and packaging solutions for the medical devices and pharmaceutical industries.
As changing regulatory requirements such as the European Union Medical Device Regulations (EU MDR) come into force, it is creating pressure on medical devices and pharmaceutical manufacturers by requiring large-scale changes to the way they create and change labels and packages of their products.
"Today's medical devices and pharma companies must handle complex and varied international labeling standards and packaging requirements," said Narendar G. Reddy, Syntel Vice President and Life Sciences Business Unit Head. "Our solutions are delivered in a unique, automation-driven managed or shared services model that enables clients to respond to a fast changing marketplace and stay compliant at all times with the highest possible quality."
Syntel's labeling and packaging services are designed to reduce waste, eliminate product recalls, bring products to market faster, and ensure consistent branding all the way from the factory to the consumer.
"We believe that partnering with Esko will strengthen our services by enabling us to provide integrated IT and process support for Esko's industry-leading products, making it easier for our clients to achieve the visibility and flexibility that today's life sciences industry demands," said Reddy.
